Hi folks,

I'm trying to get a version of Oberon running on Mac OSX. So far no
joy. I have tried following the instructions but they don't make a lot
of sense to me. It seems they are aimed at Darwin rather than OSX. I
know that OSX includes Darwin, but is there something about OSX which
precludes certain Darwin actions/interactions/processes. Sorry, I am
quite new to UNIX.

I tried contacting the author/maintainer of the Darwin Oberon port but
have not heard back.

Isn't there a way to get it up and running with Apple's X11 - perhaps
via 'fink' ?

Many thanks for any help.

Brennan,

Mac OS/X is a PowerPC port of BSD with the Macintosh windowing system. Try
using a BSD Oberon port instead.
