Which version?

Hello,

It's been a while since I used Oberon. I like the original
tiled Oberon viewer, and at this point don't need the
Gadgets UI etc. What is the current version of vanilla
Oberon?

I'll happily set aside an x86 machine for Native Oberon. I
also have some Macs (both PPC & 680x0) laying around that
might be well suited to it if I can find three-button ADB
mice, and if there's still a version of Oberon for Macs.

Any useful info would be useful. I've looked at the Oberon
home page at ETHZ, but it's not clear to me what version is
current.

I think that qualifies as my "obvious statement
for the day"! (I meant to say that any useful
info would be most welcome ;-)

The download page lists the current availability by platform:

Thanks. That was one of the pages that confused me, although
looking at it again I think it's beginning to make a little
more sense to me.

For a recent release it looks as though I'll have to make
space on a PC for either 'Native Oberon' or 'BlueBottle' or
perhaps add Linux emulation to my NetBSD laptop and try
'Linux Native Oberon' or 'Oberon for Linux' (is the
difference something to do with i386 virtual machines?)

Click on the 'Differences from Native Oberon' link to the right of Oberon
for Linux links for an explanation (I think)
