I have been successful in running Oberon using Oberon0.dsk
(ramdisk based system) -- even installed on a hard-disk partition.
I would like to do simple navigation of the installed system:
what utilities are there, where are they, how to execute them
(particulary the dialer and PPP stuff) etc.. Is there any documentation
on 'getting started with oberon'? If any one has such a beast, please
share it with me.

Thanks in advance.

This forum caters for many versions of oberon.
Always specify which version you are refering to.
When Oberon0.dsk boots, does it show the version ?
It sounds to me that you are trying (ETH) Sys 3 ?

If so, I can post you the documentation re. Ver. 2001 native oberon,
which I don't think was altered for 'the dialer and PPP stuff' for
later versions (yet).

Execute System.Directory *.Obj
to see if you have got the dialer and PPP executables.
I doubt it, although I was amazed how much was on Oberon0.dsk
