A few months ago someone mentioned that Oberon-2 was not represented
on "The Great Win32 Computer Language Shootout".

That's because the author of the Win32 shootout has not updated the
site for over a year (see the last news item: 'Next moves will
(probably) be: change Modula-2 to Oberon-2' - that would add 23
Oberon-2 implementations.)

"The Great Computer Language Shootout" has been revived, and includes
Oberon-2 implementations. See
http://shootout.alioth.debian.org/lang/oberon2/

Improvements, suggestions, implementations for "Echo Client/Server",
"Producer/Consumer Threads", "Regular Expression Matching" are welcome
on the shootout mailing list.

(Be interesting to get hold of a Zonnon implementation for Mono.)

best wishes, Isaac

Not everybody wants to promote Win32.
The curse of top-posters, *.doc texts and html posters is enough.....
Native oberon allows me to escape the tryanny of Win32.
