I know to comply with the guideline you have to ship with XYPlane so you made use of the already very portable legacy SDL 1.2. But I want to bring OBNC to a POSIX platform, very uncommon, it doesn't have SDL 1.2. Everything it has is GCC and I could compile a version of Boehm-GC on it. How could I build OBNC without the graphic part (XYPlane, Input) so I could bring OBNC to a platform without SDL? Is it even possible?

If you can please make it an option in later version of OBNC to make SDL an optional dependency, the user only have to install it if he or she want the graphic part of the guideline. Thanks.

I have successfully installed OBNC on a server running Debian 8 which
doesn't have SDL. Have you tried it?

I have successfully installed it without SDL too. I think the later time I should try it myself before asking for help.
